We know what it takes to succeed at Rolls-Royce. And it’s about looking to the future. Identifying what you’ll need to thrive tomorrow, as well as achieve today.

That’s why we need people with the skills to help us transform our business and perform at our best. Those who can adapt and change with us, as our world continues to evolve.

That’s exactly what our Enterprise Skills Accelerator is designed to give you.

Join us and you’ll develop years’ worth of future-ready skill, experience and network connections in a matter of months.

What is the Enterprise Skills Accelerator?

It’s an intensive development programme like no other.

Designed for those early in their career, to give you all the attributes we know future business leaders need - like an agile mindset, commercial and financial acumen, influencing skills, and an advanced network - at an accelerated rate.

What it is:

  • A uniquely holistic approach – helping you grow not just skills and knowledge, but also the behaviours, mindset, and networks you’ll need to thrive, now and in the future.
  • An accelerated learning journey – in just 12 months you could have developed capabilities and connections it takes people many years to gain.
  • An experience that develops you from where you’re at now. After an initial skills assessment, you’ll have a tailored development plan with a gig (or placements) and strategic project providing exposure across our enterprise.
  • A commitment to self-driven, agile learning. We’ll set you up with the tools and experiences, but it will be up you to make the most of them. This includes self-directed study for a postgraduate qualification on top of the day-job.

What it isn't:

  • A way to start a career in specialist areas like marketing, sales, or human resources. This programme is about developing a range of transferable skills – those you need to adapt to changing business needs and to deliver change across an organisation.
  • A route into a guaranteed role or linear career. Those who complete the Enterprise Skills Accelerator will likely join our open talent marketplace, or an agile skills pool, for deployment across Rolls-Royce with key opportunities in Commercial, Procurement, Strategy & Transformation, Project Management, and generalist Finance roles. They’ll support programmes and projects wherever they’re needed.

How it works

This is an intensive personalised programme that’s structured around you. So, we can’t tell you exactly what your experience on the Enterprise Skills Accelerator will be. But here’s a guide.

As well as these key experiences, you’ll also benefit from a post-graduate certificate, masterclasses with Rolls-Royce experts, sponsorship from a senior leader throughout the programme, and 1:1 coaching.

month-1-signpost

In October 2026, you’ll start with an intensive one-month induction, travelling across the UK, where you’ll meet leaders and learn about our culture, strategy, products, and services. You’ll kick-start your fully-funded post-graduate qualification, meeting support networks, understanding key modules, and gaining access to the resources available for your self-directed learning. You'll test and develop your human skills, agility, and resilience in a dynamic environment, on a 1 week residential course with Outward Bound.

month-2-signpost

We’ll work with you to complete a skills assessment and allocate you on a 5-month gig (or placement) that will help build the business technical skills you need. Gigs can take place anywhere across our enterprise, meaning you could find yourself doing anything from managing customer programmes to supplier/customer negotiations, as well as communicating change initiatives or managing a budget and strategy.

month-7-signpost

For 6-months, you’ll complete a strategic project working with other Accelerator skills trainees. Taking on a genuine Rolls-Royce challenge, you’ll identify a solution, roadmap its implementation and present the business case to executive leaders. This is a critical milestone for your post-graduate qualification, which you’ll complete after 12 months. We look forward to celebrating your achievements!

month-12-signpost

Following another skills assessment, where you’re demonstrating the right skills and capabilities, you’ll complete the programme and join our open talent marketplace or agile skills pool in an area where we see you adding value at pace, continuing to shape your agile career.

Is this for you?

Our Enterprise Skills Accelerator programme is designed to equip graduates with foundational skills, structured development, support networks, and early career experiences.

To apply, you’ll be a business-minded graduate who is curious, motivated, and eager to learn. Designed with experiences and support for those early in their career, you’ll have graduated in the last three years (by your start date with us) and be mobile to travel to, and be based from, any one of our key UK locations in Bristol, Derby, and London. If you thrive on change, want to accelerate your career, and are excited to shape the future of a global, ambitious enterprise, we’d love to hear from you.

For those with more career experience, we have a range of opportunities that could be a stronger fit for you – see our SWITCH or Launch (our direct entry opportunities coming soon!) programmes.

The Enterprise Skills Accelerator is not designed to develop engineering or technical skills. If you’ve studied engineering, we still want to hear from you. You’ll find a stronger fit with our Engineering & Technology Graduate Scheme or Launch opportunities.
