What you can expect

Our voices

Our voices

Making sure everyone can be heard.

Everyone at Rolls-Royce plays a role in helping us become the high-performing, competitive, resilient and growing business we have the potential to be. Creating a culture of speaking up and finding time to make sure we listen, results in a better workplace for us all - and a better business for our customers.

Our Voices show up in a variety of ways:

  • In Focus: 5-minute surveys check in on colleague sentiment and ensure we are on track
  • Real Talk: Workshops explore high impact topics and big themes
  • In Conversation: Uses live event forums to connect colleagues, including our Executive Team, with each other to have open, honest conversations
  • Big Picture: Our annual census measures how we are living up to our behaviours and delivering against our strategy, and is followed up by individual team conversations on the ‘one big change’ they can each deploy to make a difference.

In our most recent Big Picture survey, almost 80% of the company took part – over 32,800 voices helping us become a high-performing, competitive, resilient and growing Rolls-Royce.

Our Change Makers

Our change makers

The Rolls-Royce Change Makers are a global community of colleagues who act as visible advocates for our purpose and behaviours – helping their teams and others to bring these to life every single day.

This network of over 1,000 employees are aligned to each of our business areas globally and offer invaluable support to local leaders in helping embed the purpose that drives our business.

Each of our Change Makers is a volunteer – giving time and attention to helping colleagues fully understand and embrace the direction of the business. Via a series of missions, supported by a global network of Change Maker leaders, these cohorts play a vital role in turning the strategic aims of Rolls-Royce into a working reality for our people.

Based on simple ideas like role-modelling and contributing to conversations, the Change Makers ensure that decisions made in the Boardroom are understood and adopted everywhere.

They connect us together and help keep our diverse and fast-changing business moving in the same direction.

Employee voice network

Employee voice network

Belonging means being part of a culture built on respect, where opportunities are earned on merit and where everyone, everywhere feels safe to speak up, contribute and perform at their best. Created by colleagues, for colleagues, the Employee Voice Network (EVN) turns ideas into real action and makes positive changes all across the business.

Our EVN is:

  • Open to everyone: bringing together different perspectives, personalities and passions to connect, discuss and problem solve
  • Focused on action: designed to act on your insights and help shape the culture of our company
  • For all voices and lived experiences: a safe place where everyone can speak freely, making the most of the diversity of our global workforce

This is just one way our commitment to these principles has come to life within the business.

About you

You proactively and respectfully share your views through our listening channels.

Knowing your insights are essential to our progress and alignment with our vision.

You help build a workplace where everyone can thrive and belong, role modelling and recognising people who live our behaviours.

That's you at Rolls-Royce.

In action: Sylwia

"People are very open minded and appreciate we create a mixture of cultures in the business, and we all contribute to company success.

There is a big group of people from around the world with different approaches, and I find we are never judged that we may do things differently.

I have always felt that I belong."
