"To anyone thinking of applying to Rolls-Royce... definitely do it!
My role is in the Civil Aerospace portfolio, where I help optimise the spend that Rolls-Royce makes.
Prior to this, I spent over eight years working as a Programme Executive on the Trent XWB programme, where I led the industrialisation, certification, and early service of our Trent engines. Opportunities to lead the delivery of a new type certified engine are rare and I feel privileged to have been given the opportunity to do so at Rolls-Royce.
We have lots of opportunities for growth and development. My starting point was as a semi-skilled operator on the shop floor, where I got the support I needed to develop myself first through Engineering education and then P3M education."
"Success here isn’t just about process; it’s about resilience, influencing without authority, and knowing when to push and when to listen.
If you can embrace that mix of complexity and purpose, Rolls-Royce will stretch and reward you in ways few organisations can.
In my role, I focus on three key objectives: matching supply to demand, planning ahead to anticipate future needs, and preventing issues by identifying potential risks early. As a Project Manager you won’t just deliver tasks, you’ll navigate shifting priorities, technical depth, and competing stakeholders, often under intense time pressure.
That can feel uncomfortable at times, but it’s also where the real growth happens.
My highlights at Rolls-Royce have been working with exceptional people, tackling challenges that grow you, and contributing to complex products that change the world.
Recently, working within Rolls-Royce Nuclear I was involved with the Unity contract, one of Rolls-Royce’s largest ever agreements with the MoD, consolidating and simplifying contracts and driving the commercial benefits.
The people are the company’s greatest asset, and it's important to keep perspective on the big picture, because the products you contribute to genuinely shape industries and lives."
