We develop, implement, and govern over the entire product lifecycle.

Our work is fundamental to the success of Rolls-Royce: We ensure compliance with design requirements and regulatory frameworks (including Aerospace, Nuclear, and Marine), and we define the processes our Operations teams use to deliver our products.

All while ensuring our factories and facilities are safe places to work.

In practice, this means:

  • Creating capable methods for manufacturing, assembly, disassembly, and repair, including methods of verification, to deliver superior quality and progress.
  • Developing and optimising manufacturing methods, technologies, and facilities to produce products that we don't currently make, or to produce current products at required volumes, higher quality or lower cost.
  • Using materials that deliver optimum properties for our products, while managing supply sources to guarantee product safety and integrity.
  • Managing manufacturing capability at end-of-life to ensure we retain the ability to support our customers.
  • Delivering transformation by being at the forefront of the latest technologies (e.g. Digital Manufacturing, Additive Layer Manufacturing, Composites etc.).

Our work has infinite possibilities - and so do you.

Digital Manufacturing - Additive Lead

“If you’re thinking of joining Rolls-Royce, I'd say do it!

There is so much opportunity and variety, there is something to suit everyone.

As a Digital Manufacturing Engineer, I implement new technology, processes, tools and methods, from the Research & Development phase through to production.

This involves working with many colleagues internally - at our global research centres, our machine suppliers, and software companies to influence and lead projects. Ultimately, it's about delivering valuable engineering improvements for Rolls-Royce.

My highlight has been implementing the first Additive Manufactured parts into production for our Pearl 10X engine.

I joined at the very beginning of the project and worked as part of a highly skilled and motivated team to develop new Additive Manufactured combustor tiles.

Overall, it's a great place to work and internal moves are common across a variety of fields, so you don't feel like you have to commit your career to one specific role."
