When people are mentally well, they think clearly, make better decisions and look out for one another. That is why we treat mental health as safety; not as a side initiative, but as a core part of how we work and how we care for our people.
We have invested significant energy in building a mental health strategy that is fit for the modern world. It is designed to evolve with the changing needs of today’s workforce and to create the conditions where people can thrive. Our approach includes:
- A Global Mental Health Champion network who promote and advocate for mental health across our organisation globally.
- A governed and confidential Peer Support Programme, with trained supporters providing safe, structured support.
- Dedicated training for leaders, recognising the role leadership plays in helping people thrive.
- Foundational mental health training for everyone, building shared understanding and literacy.
- Ongoing listening and environmental scanning to understand what our people need and acting on it.
We also run an evidence based global programme to improve the wellbeing of our people called “Live Well”. The accreditation scheme recognises sites across Rolls-Royce that take steps towards creating healthy, happy work environments.
