Our product portfolio ranges from standalone products to complex integrated systems. Our naval expertise provides advanced system solutions for more than 4,000 customers, with 70 naval forces and over 30,000 commercial vessels using our equipment.

At Rolls-Royce, we encourage our people to try different roles on for size throughout their career. It helps you gain a wealth of first-hand experience and fosters understanding – and we’ll also pay a professional institute membership.

Our Defence function has an established and robust Professional Development Framework. There are three broad routes you can take towards progression:

  • Technical Project Managers

  • Technical Function (People) Managers

  • Technical Specialist route

As you move through this structure, we can provide you with a flexible range of opportunities, whether you decide to specialise in one of these types of roles or develop your capabilities across a broad range of skills. We encourage all our people to try out different role types early in their career to gain a breadth of experience, and we’ll also pay for up to one professional institute membership.

Rolls-Royce Submarines are set to provide the nuclear reactor plants to power the next generation of submarines. As a result, we’re expanding our site in Derby and opening a new site in Glasgow, creating hundreds of new engineering and manufacturing opportunities.
