At our Advanced Blade Casting Facility, we make turbine blades for our world-leading aeroplane engines. These vital components are the ones that most people never see: hidden away in the hottest part of the engine, but essential to generating the thrust aeroplanes need to take off.

Ready to learn?

From day one, you’ll be training on the job, building all the skills you need for all the parts of the casting process you’ll be involved in. So, we’re looking for people who love to get hands-on and are eager to learn new things.

Ok to work shifts?

Our facility generally operates 24 hours a day, five days a week, from Sunday 17:45 – Saturday 01:45. This means we run a set shift pattern of nights and days across a 3-week rotation. So, you’ll need to be OK working a mix of day and night shifts, including some weekend working.

Got the right interests?

We’re not looking for experience or qualifications. Just the right mindset and motivation. Perhaps you already do a job that’s all about following processes, like being a cook or a beauty technician. What you’ll do as an
Operations Team Member

We make our turbine blades using an advanced, high tech casting process. As an Operations Team Member, you’ll learn the skills to perform many steps in this process.

Following technical instructions – much like a recipe or a manual for setting up a new TV – you’ll perform essential tasks like crafting and trimming wax patterns ready for casting, operating high-tech robotic machinery, or measuring and checking blades for defects. Our facilities are at the cutting-edge of casting and automated technology, so you’ll use the latest digital technology and apps to collect data that help us identify where our processes can be improved.
