A team of engineers & scientists are building a high-performance electric aeroplane unlike anything the world has ever seen. Our zero-emission ‘Spirit of Innovation’ plane is expected to make a run for the record books with a target speed of 300+ MPH later this year.

Rolls-Royce believes that this amazing project is an exciting opportunity to engage with tomorrow’s scientists and engineers. We want to give every young person who shows an interest in STEM subjects the chance to explore those interests in an educational way that’s exciting and inspiring. We've produced a whole host of STEM-related activity packs for inquisitive young minds eager to learn more about cleaner sustainable aviation and have fun in the process.

These resources have been written for students from EYFS - Yr 6 (Age 3 - 11). Each resource has been linked to the National Curriculum and is centred around flight, electricity, recycling and sustainable energy. As they are free; parents, carers, teachers, home educators, STEM ambassadors and curious kids have access to them all. These resources have been designed to utilize everyday classroom/home resources.

Under each heading - Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Maths, there are a number of activities. Each activity has a set of lesson plans, and, where additional resources are required, these are also available; eg: presentations, results tables, images etc. Our aim was to put ourselves into your shoes and take out any addition work, effectively a downloadable topic!

Incorporating real and amazing feats we hope these resources allow all to learn through exciting activities that involve; experimentation, discovery, building, collaboration and overcoming challenges.

We also have more STEM resources to get stuck in with. See our activities for 7 to 10 year olds and 12 to 19 year olds as well as our Scouts and Brownies science badges
