Project Management Degree Apprenticeship

What you'll need

Five GCSEs at grade 4/C which must include English Language and Maths.

Plus, 96 UCAS points (obtained or predicted) from either:

Three A-levels at grade C excluding general studies
Level 3 BTEC in any subject, excluding General Studies

What’s more, you’ll need to be:

a fast learner who is highly motivated for a career in project management
someone with great communication and team working skills as well as leadership potential
someone with attention to detail, good organisational skills and a willingness to learn.

For roles in Submarines: To work for the Rolls-Royce Submarines business an individual has to hold a Security Check clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you do not currently already have this in place. Due to the nature of work the business conducts and the protection of certain assets we can only progress applications from individuals who are a UK national or, in MoD approved cases, a dual national.

What you’ll do

Over four years, you’ll get to know our business and develop practical knowledge of project management techniques, tools and methodologies. Completing a series of placements, you’ll experience different parts of the business you’ve applied to.

Your placements will take you to a variety of areas within our business. The ability to plan with integrated teams, manage risk and use data analysis to control and manage your project will become second nature – you’ll be able to plan for every eventuality. Your work might include introducing new products or services, developing new facilities, or looking at the infrastructure for IT projects.

Through it all, you’ll develop invaluable experience of world-class tools and processes while learning from supportive professionals.

We’d like to see how enthusiastic you are about developing a career at the heart of a global business. We want to see evidence of how you deliver on detail-focused projects. For example, you might tell us about a project you worked on in the past or how you used your skills to identify a major problem. Whatever the case may be, we need to know you’re self-motivated and have a keen eye for detail.

HOW YOU THINK

As well as being interested in all things business, it’s important you understand how to solve problems. Tell us about a time when you put your skills to use to create a solution that worked. What new ways of thinking did you apply?
