What you’ll be doing

Growing your career in our world-class Apprenticeship Programme, learning Aircraft Mechanics, Industrial Mechanics or Cutting Mechanics.

You'll be working towards either the internal B-Examiner Licences or a globally recognised certificate for the EASA Part 66 CAT A. By the completion of your apprenticeship you'll have benefitted from a depth of training activities that provide you with invaluable skills, experience and confidence. You'll be ready for an exciting full time role.

As an apprentice you'll enjoy our intensive induction. It's fast paced and aims to strengthen your teamwork, communication skills and confidence. This is an opportunity to do a real job in a cutting edge engineering environment, learning alongside some of the world's best professionals.

While your apprenticeship will be hard work, we'll never expect you to do it all alone. Throughout your time on your programme, you will have constant access to the advice and encouragement of your training supervisor and line manager, as well as your colleagues. Together, they'll help you set your objectives, monitor your progress, understand tricky concepts and, ultimately, achieve your full potential.

Roles

Aircraft Mechanic

Aircraft Mechanic

Training as Aircraft Mechanic you'll be involved in the development, production and overhaul of power systems renowned across the world for their quality. Specialising in engine technology you'll master simple metalworking, join technology, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment. You'll also learn how to use testing gear and become familiar with key aviation terms and documents.

Your qualification will be the EASA Part 66 Category A Licence, giving you the authority to undertake scheduled maintenance and basic fault repair.

Industrial Mechanic

Industrial Mechanic

As an apprentice Industrial Mechanic you'll specialize in machinery and systems engineering in a team with serious responsibility, maintaining and repairing parts of our legendary aircraft. Your apprenticeship will hone your expertise with a range of specialist equipment from turning, grinding and milling machines to complex measuring and test technology. During your apprenticeship, you’ll become very skilled at using different materials, including sheet metal.

Cutting Mechanic (turning)

Cutting Mechanic (turning)

Train to be a Cutting Mechanic and you'll be making safety critical parts for our aircraft engines to the highest levels of quality and precision. Specialising in turning, you'll learn manual cutting, basic metalworking and thermal assembling. This is so that beyond making, repairing, maintaining and overhauling vital engine parts, you can conduct testing and quality control too. Month by month, you'll gain expertise with a variety of equipment, from conventional milling machines to advanced CNC plant.
