Balance makes us better

We’re actively working to increase the diversity of our teams and taking deliberate action to increase the representation of different groups in our workforce. We know this is good for our business and good for our people: different perspectives help us to make better decisions, innovate and deliver to our customers. We also know that the impact of Covid-19 on students and young people has been profound, and particularly affected the opportunities of those from less well-off homes and
under-represented groups.

We’re proud to have developed a number of programmes to remove barriers to employment and help set young people up for future success with valuable life-long skills.

i-Accelerator Insight Week Programme

Rolls-Royce have partnered with EDI to create this virtual work experience programme. You’ll get to work on a live project brief learning about Rolls-Royce and the digital transformation underway to become the world's leading industrial technology company. You'll gain invaluable insight into the sector and develop skills transferrable to the world of work.

Are you interested in data, technology and AI in the engineering or technology sector?
Engineering & Technology Programme: 11th July – 15th July 2022
Location: Virtual
Time: 9am - 4pm every day (only apply if you can attend all five days)

Who should apply?

  • Black and ethnic minority undergraduate students in year 1 or 2 of study
  • from any degree discipline, with a focus on STEM and/or business
  • With an interest in a the future of data, technology, AI and in the tech or engineering sectors

Are you interested in Sales, Customer Management and business operations?
Business & Enterprise Programme 18th July – 22nd July 2022
Location: Virtual
Time: 9am - 4pm every day (only apply if you can attend all five days)

Who should apply?

  • Black and ethnic minority undergraduate students in year 1 or 2 of study
  • from any business or humanities degree discipline
  • With an interest in commercial, operations or project management opportunities

How will the i-Accelerator work?
Each student will work in a team of five to develop a solution to a challenge, presenting this back to senior leaders on the last day of their virtual work experience. Various workshops will be delivered throughout the week and students will get the opportunity to develop their professional network.
