As a Commercial Degree Apprentice, you’ll not only be immersed in the commercial side of our global company but play your own part in its success.

Developing your skills on real projects, you’ll be involved in diverse business issues as you support our commercial teams to identify risks, develop commercial proposals and business solutions, manage new business contracts and analyse business cases.

What you’ll need

Five GCSEs at grade 4/C which must include Maths and English Language.

Plus, 96 UCAS points (obtained or predicted) from either:

  • Three A-levels at grade CCC including a numerical or business-related subject and excluding General studies.
  • A Level 3 Extended BTEC Diploma at DDM in numerical or business-related subjects.

What’s more, you’ll need to be:

  • passionate about all things business
  • someone with an interest in building good financial acumen
  • a problem solver and natural communicator
  • great at working in a team.

What you’ll do

Over four years, you'll complete a series of placements with our commercial teams in Civil Aerospace in Derby, while also studying for a BA (Hons) degree in Business and Management. We'll support you every step of the way with structured placements and learning and development objectives plus, mentoring from experienced professionals.

Across it all, you’ll gain a detailed insight into how a large, complex company makes a profit and works with its customers, suppliers, and partners. And at the end, you'll be ready to become a Commercial Officer with Rolls-Royce.
